Talend tfilterColumn usage
Using tFilterColumn component in your job
tFilterColumn component is a very useful component - which can be used in your jobs just simply to restrict the number of columns passing from one component to another - you can achieve the same from tMap but tFiltercolumns make is more explicit that you are filtering th e columns from one flow to another.
In example below we are reading data from a delimited file and then removing/filtering some columns from row7 to row8 in example below
when we click on schema of tFilterColumns_1 transformation as below you can see clearly the difference in columns in input and output

Hi Arpit,
ReplyDeletei used this component to delete columns. but, it does not change anything. It is other option do that?
with delete i understand if your input has 10 columns you want to take forward only say 2 columns..delete 8 columns..you can also use tMap to reduce number of columns in the pipeline
